Amorim Explains How He Plans to Build an Arsenal-Style AC Milan

Ruben Amorim has made it clear that he wants to build AC Milan around a long-term vision similar to the model that has been developed at Arsenal.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Facebook on Monday, September 14, 2026, Amorim believes Milan need patience if they are serious about building a team and structure capable of challenging for major trophies.

Using Arsenal as an example, the Portuguese coach pointed out that success did not come immediately for the Premier League club.

“If you look at Arsenal, it takes time to win titles and build a model,” Amorim said.

That is the kind of approach Amorim wants to introduce at AC Milan. Rather than looking for quick fixes, he wants the club to develop a clear identity and structure that can produce sustained success.

“That’s what I want to do here at AC Milan,” he said.

Amorim also admitted that building the project will take time, but he insisted that his ambition remains firmly focused on winning.

“It takes time,” he added.

“I WANT TO WIN here and this is the vision,” Amorim stated.

The message from the Milan boss is therefore clear: he wants the club to be patient with the process, but he is not interested in building for the sake of simply building.

His aim is to create a strong foundation while competing for trophies along the way, with Arsenal’s journey serving as an example of the patience he believes Milan will need.
