Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Tottenham Hotspur youngster Luca Williams-Barnett, who is attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
According to journalist Tom Barclay, both Premier League giants are monitoring the youngster’s progress as they assess his potential for the future.
However, the two English clubs are not alone in the race. German heavyweights Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also reportedly interested in the Tottenham prospect.
Tottenham Move to Secure His Future
With interest in Williams-Barnett growing, Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks over a new contract in an attempt to secure his long-term future at the club.
Spurs will be keen to keep hold of one of their promising young talents, especially with several major European clubs reportedly watching his development.
Losing a highly rated academy player to a rival would be a setback for Tottenham, who will hope to convince the youngster that his future is best served in north London.
Manchester United and Chelsea Could Face Competition
Manchester United have continued to monitor young talents as they look to strengthen their options for the future, while Chelsea have also built a reputation for investing in promising youngsters.
Both clubs could face strong competition from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund if their interest develops into a serious pursuit.
For now, Tottenham’s priority appears to be reaching an agreement on a new deal rather than allowing uncertainty over his future to continue.
It remains to be seen whether any of the interested clubs will make a formal move, but Williams-Barnett’s situation is certainly one to watch.
